Di Balik warna Buah dan Sayur

Sahabat blogger suka buah..? Apa warna kesukaanya..? Ternyata warna buah dan sayur-sayuran yang kita makan bukan sekedar penarik minat semata, tapi lebih dari itu terkandung zat gizi tertentu yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh tubuh.
Nah, apa sajakah kandungan zat gizi dalam buah dan sayur-sayuran itu menurut warnanya ?

1. Warna Merah tua atau Ungu
Buah dan sayur dengan warna seperti ini kaya akan antioksidan yang bermanfaat untuk menghambat terbentuknya gumpalan pada pembuluh darah sehingga sangat baik mengurangi resiko penyakit jantung dan stroke. Contoh : terong ungu, apel merah, anggur merah dan ungu, pir merah, cabai merah, ceri.

2. Warna Merah
Warna merah pada buah mengindikasikan adanya kandungan antosianin dan likopen. Antosianin berfungsi mencegah infeksi dan kanker kandung kemih, adapun likopen bermanfaat untuk menghambat fungsi kemunduran fisik dan mental agar tidak mudah pikun. Warna merah pada sayuran juga mengindikasikan kandungan flavanoid yang berfungsi sebagai anti kanker. Contoh : tomat, jambu biji merah, kol merah, bayam merah.

3. Warna Jingga
Kandungan betakaroten yang berfungsi menghambat proses penuaan dengan meremajakan sel-sel tubuh. Betakaroten akan merubah vitamin A yang memacu kekebalan tubuh sehingga tidak mudah terserang penyakit. Contoh : ubi merah, labu kuning, wortel, melon jingga, pepaya, mangga, jeruk.

4. Warna Kuning
Menandakan kandungan kalium yang bermanfaat mencegah stroke dan jantung koroner serta mencegah katarak. Contoh : Belimbing, nanas, pisang, belimbing sayur.

5. Warna Hijau
Menunjukkan kandungan asam alegat yang menggempur berbagai bibit sel kanker, serta menormalkan tekanan darah. Juga kaya akan vitamin C, B kompleks, zat besi, kalsium, magnesium, fosfor, betakaroten dan serat. Contoh : avokad, anggur hijau, semua jenis sayuran hijau.

6. Warna Putih
Buah dan sayur berwarna putih memang hanya mengadung sedikit antioksidan, namun kandungan vitamin C dan seratnya yang tinggi ampuh menjaga sistem pencernaan. Contoh : taoge, kol, sawi putih, rebung, jamur, sirsak, duku, kelengkeng, dan leci.
